Supplier Diversity

At Jones Lang LaSalle, we recognize the importance of diversity and we value it.  The cornerstone of our diversity policy is respect for the broad spectrum of diversity that exists within our workforce and our customer base. It is our goal to strengthen and partner with our diverse business communities by contributing to their overall economic growth and to the expansion of our markets.

Our Policy

It is the policy and practice of Jones Lang LaSalle to promote and increase business opportunities for Minority, Women and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (M/W and DVBEs) to ensure that they receive their fair market share of Jones Lang LaSalle's total expenditures for products and services and are promoted to our clients. In establishing this policy, Jones Lang LaSalle is recognizing its commitment to the communities in which it serves and the marketplaces in which it conducts business.

Strengthening the diverse business community economically contributes to the overall economic growth and expansion of our markets. Therefore, it is our objective to offer M/W/DVBEs equal access to purchasing opportunities. In addition, it is Jones Lang LaSalle's goal to assist in developing and growing such businesses.  Jones Lang LaSalle has been an active national member and supporter of two of the leading diversity organizations - NMSDC and WBENC.

Jones Lang LaSalle Supplier Diversity Program

Jones Lang LaSalle's Diversity Committee is responsible for the development and management of the company's Supplier Diversity Initiative. The group establishes and monitors corporate M/W/DVBE objectives. Supplier Diversity works through Corporate Strategic Sourcing and client Strategic Sourcing teams, as well as other Jones Lang LaSalle business units to identify opportunities for qualified and certified M/W/DVBEs. We also work with our tier one non-qualified suppliers to locate M/W/DVBE firms so they can develop strategic partnerships to support their subcontract requirements.

Our mission is to enhance the success of our thriving real estate services business by directly contributing to the bottom line through the use of a diverse group of suppliers which reflect the diversity of our customer base.

We develop mutually beneficial business relationships with Minority/Women and Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (M/W and DVBEs) by utilizing these firms as a tier one supplier. We also encourage our tier one suppliers to use M/W/DVBEs as a tier two supplier to further reinforce our commitment.

The Supplier Diversity Initiative is intended not only to build awareness of the social responsibility of Jones Lang LaSalle and its employees to provide opportunities for M/W/DVBEs, but also to further the business strategy by directly affecting the bottom line.

As qualified suppliers are identified by Jones Lang LaSalle employees, the suppliers should be coded as a M/W/DVBE supplier in our accounting systems.  This is achieved through the supplier set-up process when adding a new supplier through Client Accounting Systems.  This coding allows the firm to track and monitor spend dollars distributed to qualified supplier organizations.
