Sourcing represents a significant percentage of a company’s operating expenses, and in turn, they continually seek opportunities to optimize spend without sacrificing quality, service delivery or tenant and employee satisfaction. To achieve this, companies want to work with the best suppliers while getting the best value.

That is why Jones Lang LaSalle is commited to identifying the industry’s leading vendors and building strong partnerships with them. We understand how critical our suppliers are to delivering quality, reliable service and real value to our clients.

Last year, to recognize our partners and industry leaders for helping us deliver the highest caliber of service, value and innovation to our clients, Jones Lang LaSalle launched the annual Supplier of Distinction Awards Program.

In the program’s inaugural year, five companies were recognized within four categories. This year, we are proud to recognize six companies within six categories.

  • 2012 Suppliers of Distinction

Jones Lang LaSalle recognized the following companies as their 2012 Suppliers of Distinction:

    ABM - Collaboration
    Start2Finish - Diverse Supplier
    GMR - Energy/Sustainability
    ValleyCrest Landscape Companies - Innovation
Allied Barton Security Services - Product/Service Excellence
Swiss Post Solutions - Total Cost Management

  • ABM   Collaboration

In business for more than 100 years, ABM is one of the largest facility services providers in the U.S. Having participated in several initiatives for a JLL healthcare client’s portfolio, the client noted how well ABM has grasped their “One Team” approach. Recently, ABM implemented team cleaning changes across this client’s portfolio, leading to over $224,000 in annualized cost savings.

  • Start2Finish   Diverse Supplier

Start2Finish, a minority owned enterprise, provides its clients with transparent, fully-integrated construction and facilities management solutions. The company developed a new service model for one of JLL’s consumer goods clients, which helped integrate multiple service lines at a lower cost. Having reduced annual costs by 10% consecutively over the last two years, Start2Finish is committed to contributing up to $33,000 per year towards investment innovations to improve the client experience.

  • GMR   Energy/Sustainability

GMR manages facility inspection and data collection to help clients maintain consistent security, lighting design, brand and compliance standards. GMR, a Women Business Enterprise certified by WBENC (Women Business Enterprise National Council), is the industry expert helping clients mitigate risk to provide a safe and secure business environment, as well as ensure consistent branding standards.

The GMR team has successfully integrated new and energy efficient LED lighting technology across the portfolio of one of JLL’s largest banking clients. Since the program’s inception, over 200 projects have been delivered, resulting in more than $865,000 in energy and maintenance savings.

  • ValleyCrest Landscape   Innovation

ValleyCrest Landscape Companies is the nation’s largest integrated landscape company with more than 60 years of experience. Recent innovations for one of JLL’s pharmaceutical clients include a comprehensive irrigation system audit geared toward identifying efficiencies and development of a sprinkler head retro-fit program to decrease water utilization.

  • Allied Barton Security Services   Product/Service Excellence

For more than 50 years, AB has been providing security officer solutions to customers all across the nation. AB went beyond their contracted scope of work to create the Energy Conversation Program. In this program, building tours and security checks were performed to ensure all lights and electronics were powered off and to identify and prevent any potential safety risks or hazards.

AB not only reduced overall costs for one of JLL’s pharmaceutical clients by agreeing to multi-year reductions resulting in more than $181,000 in savings, but the company also introduced and implemented several “security related” savings with bundled opportunities.

  • Swiss Post Solutions   Total Cost Management

Swiss Post Solutions is a premier provider of business process outsourcing and digitization solutions. Over this past year, SPS continually and proactively identified opportunities to leverage their resources for efficiencies, cost savings and cost avoidance for one of JLL’s consumer goods clients. SPS has already provided more than $750,000 in annual cost savings opportunities to the client this year.

How winners are chosen

The award recipients were selected from a pool of a hundred supplier partners by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Global Strategic Sourcing Board through a comprehensive evaluation process. In 2011, the winners represented provided service delivery on integrated facilities management-based client accounts within multi-regional geographies.

The 2011 Jones Lang LaSalle Suppliers of Distinction were recognized during Jones Lang LaSalle’s Management Training Conference in Austin, Texas on June 4, 2012.

Around the globe, our supplier partners play an integral role in helping us deliver exceptional service to our clients. In turn, we will continue to recognize our top performers and challenge all of our suppliers to continuously improve service, add value and innovate.

All of our supplier partners are eligible to win the Supplier of Distinction Award. We look forward to recognizing many more of our partners in the years to come.
