The building blocks for a sustainable recovery began to take shape during the first quarter with recent indicators pointing towards a stabilizing labor market. GDP growth, rising corporate profits, an equity market recovery and rapidly improving industrial indicators have also contributed to the expansion underway. A recovery in commercial real estate fundamentals will lag the overall economy and will continue to remain challenged throughout 2010 until a sustained recovery in the labor market takes hold.
