NEW YORK, November 2, 2009 — Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York office has hired Stephen Eynon as a senior vice president. Eynon will work out of the firm’s Midtown office and will be engaged in business development, and tenant and agency representation.
Eynon, 40, has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate in the Manhattan office market. He has worked on a wide range of landlord representation assignments for a diverse group of owners including institutions, pension funds and private investors. Eynon also handled tenant representation work for major corporations including Bertelsmann, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey, Computer Generated Solutions, Escada USA, Greenwich Street Capital and Schroeder Investment Management.
“Steve Eynon is a tremendously talented real estate professional who spearheaded hundreds of thousands of square feet in leases for the Empire State Building during a difficult economic climate,” said Peter Riguardi, president of Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York region. “He is skilled at completing complex negotiations for building owners and tenants, and he will be a crucial member of our leasing team.”
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Eynon worked for 15 years with CB Richard Ellis and its predecessor firms, Edward S. Gordon Co. and Insignia/Edward S. Gordon. His most recent title at CB Richard Ellis was director of leasing for the Empire State Building. Eynon was responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day leasing efforts at the landmark building including negotiating renewals, expansions and buyouts; financial projects and analysis; analyzing leasing market metrics; targeting potential occupants; and evaluating proposals and negotiating new leases.
He recently completed a successful tenure as director of leasing at the Empire State Building, overseeing the completion of more than 500,000 square feet of office leases, including two of the largest transactions in the history of the building. Eynon represented the building in leasing 103,000 square feet to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and 90,000 square feet to Coty Inc. Prior to overseeing leasing efforts at the Empire State Building, he served as leasing agent for more than a dozen properties in Manhattan totaling more than 6 million square feet of office space.
Eynon received a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University. Eynon is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and a licensed real estate sales person in the state of New York.
