Jones Lang LaSalle Hires Louis Buffalino




NEW YORK, October 14, 2009 — Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York office has hired Louis Buffalino as a senior vice president. Buffalino will work out of the firm’s Lower Manhattan office and will be engaged in business development, and tenant and agency representation.
 
Buffalino, 53, has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, providing strategic services to major corporate clients throughout the tri-state area of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. His expertise ranges from investment sales to tenant and agency representation.
 
“Louis Buffalino has spearheaded complex transactions for major corporations throughout Manhattan,” said Peter Riguardi, president of Jones Lang LaSalle’s New York region. “He has a strong track record of success and is certain to make the Jones Lang LaSalle leasing team even stronger.”
 
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Buffalino served as a first vice president with CB Richard Ellis, where he represented numerous global financial and industrial companies. He represented Skanska USA Building in its recent relocation to the Empire State Building, and assisted the company’s efforts to achieve Platinum Leed certification for its new space. Buffalino also represented the Museum of Arts and Design in its purchase and $75 million renovation of 2 Columbus Circle, and its sale of its condominium interest at West 53rd Street.
 
In addition, Buffalino represented the Bond Market Association in its relocation from Lower Manhattan to 360 Madison Avenue in Midtown. He assisted the Securities Industry Association with its 55,000-square-foot renewal at 120 Broadway and the firm’s later 36,000-square-foot expansion at the building. Buffalino represented JP Morgan Chase in its disposition of a 500,000-square-foot building in Hicksville, N.Y., and served as its leasing agent at 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza.
 
Earlier, he was a vice president at Credit Suisse First Boston Realty Corp. While there, he was part of the team that handled the 1.4 million-square-foot sublease assignment of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s corporate headquarters to JP Morgan Chase in 2001, and a subsequent 1.1 million-square-foot lease for CSFB at One Madison Avenue. He has also represented firms that include thestreet.com, Mass Mutual, Bank of New York and North American Airlines.
 
Buffalino received a bachelor’s degree from Providence College. He has been involved with numerous boards and committees on behalf of the Dominican Priory and St. Mary’s Preparatory School. He is also active in his community, coaching youth sports and serves as a board member for a number of football and lacrosse organizations.
