Current Responsibilities
Dan Pufunt is both President of Property Management and Chief Operating Officer of Local Markets for Jones Lang LaSalle Americas. As President of Property Management he is responsible for both the long term strategic direction and the day-to-day operations of the national property management business, comprised of approximately 1400 property management professionals and engineers who service the investor office and industrial product sector totaling more than 165 million square feet. 

In his role as Local Markets Chief Operating Officer, Dan has P&L responsibility for the firm’s local operations across the United States. Mr. Pufunt also serves on the Jones Lang LaSalle Americas Management Committee, the body responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Markets Solutions business, including new business strategy, product development and talent management programs.   Dan is also a member of the national investor client management team and participates in the enhancement of strategic investor relationships, as well as ensuring execution and delivery of service excellence on behalf of our clients.

Experience
Previous to assuming his current responsibilities, Mr. Pufunt was the Midwest Division President of Investor Services which included the Agency Leasing and Management business in the greater metropolitan Chicago area.  In this role Dan had operational oversight and P&L responsibility for the brokerage, property management and construction business, comprised of approximately 70 office and industrial properties totaling over 30 million square feet.

Before assuming the Midwest Division President role, Mr. Pufunt held the position of Chicago Regional Manager and was responsible for the overall operation of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Midwest property management business. Dan and his team were recognized by their commercial real estate peers as being among the ‘best of the best’ by earning the Chicago Commercial Real Estate “Property Management Company of the Year” award for three consecutive years. 

Education and Affiliations
Mr. Pufunt earned his JD from John Marshall Law School and his M.B.A. and B.B.A. degrees from Loyola University of Chicago.  He has served as a board member on the Executive Committee of BOMA Chicago and participates in NAIOP, and the Urban Land Institute.
