| Turning Liabilities into Respected Amenities The Hyatt Center, a 49-story, 1.5-million square-foot landmark tower in Chicago’s West Loop, combines unique structural elements with open floor plans and state-of-the-art building systems. This innovative design required careful, expert management oversight, and ownership turned to Jones Lang LaSalle.
Tasked with managing the property and completing the complex base building commissioning process, our team addressed several management issues immediately. These included staffing, accounting, support systems and contracts, insurance as well as tenant move-in and building construction coordination, technology support and security.
Our efforts reduced accounting costs, reduced commissioning costs, mitigated construction turnover issues, and transformed security issues from a potential liability into a respected tenant amenity. We also facilitated the on-time relocation of the owner and two large anchor tenants to the building despite overlapping move dates. Ultimately our scope of services expanded to include coordination of the building’s second-floor amenities, including dining and fitness facilities. |
